Las Vegas man sentenced to 35 years in federal prison
Daniel Hennigh, a Las Vegas resident, was sentenced to 420 months in prisonโ35 yearsโfollowed by 35 years of supervised release on Oct. 13, 2026, by U.S. District Judge Gloria M. Navarro in federal court in Nevada. Hennigh pleaded guilty to four federal offenses, with one count each of sexual exploitation of children, coercion and enticement, distribution of child pornography, and possession of child pornography.
The government recommended the same prison term followed by lifetime supervised release. Navarro instead ordered 35 years of supervised release. The Justice Department said Hennigh must also register as a sex offender and keep his registration current.
According to the Justice Departmentโs account of court documents, on April 27 and 28, 2025, Hennigh used social-media applications to communicate with another person about sexually abusing children and distributed a video he produced of a child in his care.
