Regular gas remains below regional benchmarks
The local regular-gas price is 4.9 cents below AAA’s California average of $5.648 per gallon and 10.2 cents below the Los Angeles-Long Beach regional average of $5.701 on July 30.

AAA listed the statewide diesel average at $6.779 a week ago, $6.561 a month ago and $5.183 a year ago. The Los Angeles-Long Beach diesel average was $7.090 on July 30, compared with $6.977 a week ago, $6.694 a month ago and $5.164 a year ago.
