Eagle Mountain Fuel Check: Gas Rises, Diesel Eases Slightly
A 7-Eleven in Eagle Mountain listed regular gas at $4.199 and diesel at $5.099. AAAโs July 30 Utah averages were higher for both fuels.
Regular gasoline was listed at $4.199 per gallon and diesel at $5.099 at the 7-Eleven at 4184 E. Pony Express Parkway in Eagle Mountain. The station page says its gas prices are updated within 24 hours.
These are prices at one Eagle Mountain station, not a citywide average. Other locations may charge more or less, so drivers should compare nearby pumps before filling up.
Regular gas moved higher across Utah
AAAโs Utah price table, dated July 30, listed the statewide average for regular gasoline at $4.284 per gallon. That was up from $4.279 the previous day and higher than the comparable averages from one week earlier at $4.181, one month earlier at $3.910 and one year earlier at $3.391.
The Eagle Mountain 7-Eleven price was 8.5 cents below the July 30 Utah statewide average. That comparison does not mean every Eagle Mountain station was below the state average; it is a reference point for drivers checking local prices.
Diesel eased slightly day over day
AAA listed Utahโs statewide diesel average at $5.291 on July 30. That was slightly below the previous dayโs $5.293 average, but still above the comparable prices from one week earlier at $5.100, one month earlier at $4.715 and one year earlier at $3.739.
The Eagle Mountain stationโs listed diesel price of $5.099 was 19.2 cents below the statewide average. As with regular gasoline, the station figure should not be treated as a citywide benchmark.
What higher fuel costs can mean locally
Regular-gas prices directly affect commuting budgets, errands and weekend travel. Diesel costs can be especially important for contractors, delivery operators, farmers, service businesses and companies moving equipment or supplies.
When fuel remains elevated, delivery routes, service calls, restaurant logistics and contractor operating costs can become more expensive. Those effects vary by business and do not show that any particular company has raised its prices.
What Eagle Mountain drivers should watch
The July 30 data shows different short-term movement for the two fuels. Utah regular gas was higher than the previous day and remained well above its weekly, monthly and yearly comparison points. Diesel eased slightly from the prior day but remained higher than those longer-term comparison points.
The checked Eagle Mountain 7-Eleven was below the Utah statewide average for both regular gas and diesel. Because one station does not represent the entire city, drivers should compare nearby locations, especially when buying larger amounts of fuel.
