West Jordan fuel prices rise as metro gas hits $4.332, diesel $5.405

Fuel prices serving West Jordan moved higher across every comparison period in AAA’s Tuesday, August 4, 2026, price check. The Salt Lake City metro benchmark reached $4.332 per gallon for regular gasoline, up 14.5 cents from the previous day.

The metro diesel average reached $5.405 per gallon, an increase of 16.8 cents from the previous day. The Salt Lake City figures are regional benchmarks rather than official West Jordan citywide averages.

Regular gas keeps climbing

AAA’s Salt Lake City metro table lists regular gasoline at $4.332 per gallon on August 4. That is:

14.5 cents higher than the previous day’s $4.187 average
8.1 cents higher than the previous week’s $4.251 average
62.9 cents higher than the previous month’s $3.703 average
$1.004 higher than the previous year’s $3.328 average

For West Jordan drivers, the regional number puts the regular-gas benchmark above $4.30 per gallon, although individual stations can be higher or lower.

Diesel is above $5.40

Diesel prices are also rising, with the Salt Lake City metro average at $5.405 per gallon. AAA’s comparison table shows diesel up:

16.8 cents from the previous day’s $5.237 average
12.6 cents from the previous week’s $5.279 average
79.4 cents from the previous month’s $4.611 average
$1.684 from the previous year’s $3.721 average

The diesel increase is larger than the regular-gas increase over both the one-month and one-year periods. That matters for contractors, delivery operators, landscapers, construction companies and other businesses that rely on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

West Jordan station snapshot

A 7-Eleven listing for 6990 S Redwood Road in West Jordan showed regular gasoline at $4.279 per gallon and diesel at $5.389. Those prices were listed as updated within 24 hours of the station-page check.

The station’s listing was 5.3 cents below the metro regular-gas average and 1.6 cents below the metro diesel average. It is a single-station snapshot, not a representative price for every pump in West Jordan, so drivers may find different prices nearby.

Utah price context

Axios Salt Lake City reported August 3 that Utah’s average regular-gas price had risen nearly 40 cents since July 4, citing AAA data. Axios also reported that the statewide average was about $4.25 per gallon as of Sunday.

AAA’s August 4 statewide table listed Utah’s average at $4.346 for regular gasoline and $5.397 for diesel. Those are statewide figures and should not be treated as West Jordan pump averages.

What higher prices may mean locally

For commuters and households, the increase can raise the cost of regular driving, errands and weekend travel. Contractors, delivery drivers and service businesses may face higher operating costs, while restaurants and other businesses that depend on deliveries could see added transportation expense.
