Fayetteville Regional Airport to Host Four-Day TSA PreCheck Enrollment Event
Fayetteville Regional Airport will host a four-day TSA PreCheck enrollment event Aug. 25-28, giving Fayetteville-area travelers a temporary local option to apply for or renew membership.
The event was announced Aug. 3 by the City of Fayetteville. Appointments will be held at Fayetteville Regional Airport, 400 Airport Road, in the Boeing Conference Room on the first level.
Appointment hours and location
Appointments are scheduled each day from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Fayetteville Regional Airport is hosting the event in partnership with IDEMIA, an authorized TSA PreCheck enrollment provider.
The announcement describes the event as appointment-based, not as a walk-in service. Travelers should schedule an appointment and confirm availability before arriving.
What applicants should bring
Applicants should bring the identity and citizenship documents required for TSA PreCheck enrollment. During the in-person appointment, IDEMIA staff will capture fingerprints and a photograph.
The announced application fee is $76.75. Applicants must still meet TSA PreCheck eligibility and screening requirements, and completing an appointment does not guarantee approval.
The TSA PreCheck Application Program is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents, according to the city announcement. People seeking renewal should confirm their renewal instructions and eligibility with the enrollment provider.
How to prepare
New applicants can complete the application online before the in-person appointment. The Transportation Security Administrationโs enrollment-center guidance recommends checking location details and hours with the enrollment provider and scheduling before visiting.
Applicants should verify the appointment time, required documents, fee and program requirements before making plans. Availability for the Fayetteville event may be limited.
For local travelers, the Aug. 25-28 event provides a short-term way to handle TSA PreCheck enrollment or renewal at the airport instead of traveling to another enrollment center. Those attending should arrive prepared for the document check, fingerprinting and photography required during the appointment.
