Victoria Releases Draft 2026 CDBG Action Plan
The City of Victoria has released a draft 2026 Annual Action Plan for its Community Development Block Grant program, beginning the process of deciding how CDBG funds will be allocated for the upcoming program year.
The document was prepared by the cityโs Development Services Planning Division. It follows an application process that invited local nonprofits serving low- to moderate-income residents to seek CDBG funding. The plan is part of Victoriaโs broader CDBG planning and reporting process and is intended to guide support for community services and projects.
Public input comes before final approval
Funding recommendations were scheduled for presentation to the Victoria City Council on June 2. The city planned to begin public input on the funding plan in July, giving residents an opportunity to comment before the allocations move to a final decision.
The council is expected to approve the 2026-2027 CDBG funding allocations in August. The draft plan does not establish final funding amounts for individual projects or applicants, so its release is not the same as a final award. The next known step is the councilโs August consideration of the proposed allocations.
