Jersey City ShopRite opens at 85,000-square-foot Everton site
ShopRite of Hudson Exchange Place opened to customers Oct. 14 at 99 Provost Street in Jersey City. The 85,000-square-foot supermarket occupies the second floor of Everton, a 60-story tower.
The new store replaces ShopRite of Metro Plaza, formerly at 400 Marin Boulevard. Wakefern reports that the replacement is 20,000 square feet larger than the former location. Based on those figures, the former store measured about 65,000 square feet.
Wakefern said Inserra Supermarkets held the grand opening on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026. The store is listed as open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
