Washoe County early voting began at 18 centers Saturday

In-person early voting for the Nov. 3, 2026, general election began Saturday, Oct. 17, at 18 vote centers across Washoe County. Voters can use any county vote center during early voting, rather than being restricted to a single assigned location.

The centers are scheduled to operate daily, including weekends, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Oct. 30. Washoe County lists early-voting locations in Reno and other parts of the county, so voters can choose among the listed sites. Early voting ends four days before Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3.

For voters who wait until Election Day, the county lists 41 vote centers, open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The same any-center rule applies that day. Compared with the early-voting schedule, Election Day has 23 additional centers and a 12-hour voting window, rather than eight hours.

Reno offices on the ballot

The general-election ballot includes Reno contests for mayor, City Council seats in Wards 2 and 4, city attorney and Reno Municipal Court Judge. These municipal offices are among the contests county election information lists for the Nov. 3 election.

Ballots received before early voting began

KOLO reported Oct. 16, attributing the figure to the Washoe County Registrar of Voters’ office, that the office had received more than 9,500 ballots. The report was published before in-person early voting began; it did not specify when the total was measured or provide a Reno-only count.

That figure refers to ballots the Registrar’s office had received, not ballots cast at the 18 early-voting centers. It does not establish how many ballots had been received from Reno voters, and the countywide total should not be read as a city-specific tally.

The county’s schedule gives voters two in-person windows: the daily early-voting period through Oct. 30, followed by Election Day on Nov. 3. Voters can select any listed county center during either period, including a location outside the city where they live.
