Vancouver police are investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle at the intersection of E. 37th Street and P Street in Vancouver. Officers responded at about 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 20, 2026, the department said.
In the departmentโs preliminary account, a westbound vehicle was in the intersection when a southbound motorcycle struck its rear passenger side. Police said the motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries and later died. The account describes the reported sequence and point of impact, but does not establish fault.
Police said the vehicleโs driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. That is an observation about the driver, not a finding about responsibility for the crash. The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit is continuing its investigation; police have not announced a cause or enforcement decision.
