A juvenile girl suffered minor injuries in a shooting in Burnsville on Oct. 20. Police responded to the 1700 block of McAndrews Road West at about 7 p.m. The shelter-in-place order issued that evening was lifted at approximately 10:57 p.m.
The alert was issued around 8 p.m., so it lasted roughly three hours. The cityโs request after the order ended was separate: residents were asked to avoid the area while law enforcement continued working there that evening.
The girl received medical treatment, CBS Minnesota reported. Her exact age had not been released in reporting published Oct. 21.
The City of Burnsville said investigators preliminarily believed the shooting was not random. Local reporting said no one was in custody as of late Oct. 20.
