Unofficial San Bernardino returns show council, school-board leads

San Bernardino County’s unofficial returns for the Nov. 3, 2026, election put Ron Alvarado, Christian Shaughnessy and Joe Salas ahead in City Council Wards 1, 2 and 4, respectively. In the San Bernardino City Unified School District election, Abigail Medina, Lorna Di Davide and Mary Ellen Abilez Grande currently hold the top three vote totals for three board seats.

The county lists all precincts as reported in these contests: 22 of 22 in Ward 1, 18 of 18 in Ward 2, 43 of 43 in Ward 4 and 225 of 225 for the school board. The results page calls the returns “Final Unofficial Election Night Results.” Precincts reported does not mean the results are certified.

Current vote totals i

The council margins, calculated from the listed vote totals, are 152 votes in Ward 1, 194 in Ward 2 and 1,195 in Ward 4. Ward 1 is the closest of the three contests, while Ward 4 has the widest gap.

For the school board’s third seat, Abilez Grande is 812 votes ahead of Tillman, the fourth candidate in the field. That difference marks the current gap between the third- and fourth-highest totals; it does not establish certified winners or a final allocation of seats.

The county says its canvass began Nov. 4 and the Registrar of Voters must certify results no later than Dec. 3, 2026. The results page lists another update by 6 p.m. Pacific time on Nov. 5. Until certification, the posted standings are unofficial.
