Cole County judge dismisses challenge to Missouri’s MOScholars program
The Cole County Circuit Court has dismissed with prejudice legal challenges to Missouri’s MOScholars education-scholarship program, according to a July 27 announcement from the Missouri State Treasurer’s Office.
The dismissal means the program can continue without interruption, the treasurer’s office said. The announcement did not provide the case number, the judge’s name, the full legal reasoning or the exact date the court entered its order.

Program continues as applications grow
The ruling comes as the state prepares for the 2026–27 MOScholars program year. At the time of the announcement, nearly 10,000 new applications had been received, according to the treasurer’s office.

The treasurer’s office also reported that participation in MOScholars increased by 140% during the 2025–26 school year. The announcement did not provide an underlying participant count or further detail on how that percentage was calculated.
