Cincinnati gas dips below $4 again as diesel eases to $5.649
Cincinnati’s latest AAA check puts regular gas at $3.966 and diesel at $5.649, both lower than Wednesday and last week, with regular back under $4.
Cincinnati drivers got another small break at the pump on June 3. AAA’s latest Cincinnati (OH only) check shows regular unleaded at $3.966 a gallon and diesel at $5.649. Regular gas is back under $4, and both fuels are lower than the last AAA check.
Regular gas is down from $4.026 at the previous check, while diesel eased from $5.685. That is a clearer win for commuters, households, school runs, rideshares, and weekend travelers who feel every trip to the pump in the weekly budget.
The broader backdrop is still elevated, though. Even with this latest drop, fuel costs remain well above year-ago levels across Ohio and the U.S., so today’s relief is more of a step in the right direction than a full reset.
Against broader benchmarks, Cincinnati regular gas sits below Ohio’s $4.219 average and the U.S. average of $4.261. Diesel is also below Ohio’s $5.702 average, but it still runs above the national diesel average of $5.411. For contractors, delivery drivers, restaurants, service businesses, and other fuel-heavy operators, that means relief is real but limited.
AAA’s Cincinnati figure is an average, not a station-by-station quote, so prices can still vary from one exit to the next across the metro. If you are filling up around Cincinnati, share the highest and lowest pump prices you are seeing locally.
