Abilene Data-Center Growth Tests Housing, Streets and Police Capacity

Abilene’s Stargate artificial-intelligence data-center project is continuing to reshape the city’s housing market and demand for public services. During a May 20 city budget workshop, officials discussed adding six police officers to reach the authorized force.

Growth alongside a street-repair gap
