City’s Efforts to Address Gun Violence
The city of Antioch is actively exploring new strategies to combat gun violence. The report suggests that implementing these strategies could reduce crime by 20% to 55% over 18 months. Despite a decrease in gun violence last year, recent incidents, including the shooting of an 11-year-old girl, have raised new concerns. Council members believe that these strategies, proven effective in other cities, could help curb crime in Antioch as well.
