Three-Alarm Fire Causes Major Damage at Aurora Construction Site
A three-alarm fire erupted at a construction site in southeast Aurora, causing significant damage to apartment buildings that were under construction. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The incident took place in the 7300 block of South Addison Court, just east of E-470 and near Aurora Parkway. Aurora Fire Rescue encountered difficulties in battling the blaze due to construction equipment obstructing access. The northbound lanes of E-470 were temporarily closed while firefighters worked to control the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
