Cambridge approves waterfront agreement change as housing, stormwater projects move toward bidding

Cambridge City Council approved a modification to the city’s agreement with Cambridge Waterfront Development Inc. on July 16, 2026, as new housing and stormwater projects move toward the next stages of planning and bidding.

The work could affect stormwater management and water-quality planning in and around the Cambridge Creek watershed, although the announcement does not establish measurable improvements to Chesapeake Bay water quality before the projects are completed and monitored.
