Cary, NC — January 31, 2026 — As a winter storm approaches, Cary has announced service closures and cancellations for Saturday, January 31, 2026. All staffed facilities, including the Citizen’s Convenience Center, are closed; all programs are cancelled; no GoCary fixed route or door-to-door services.
Winter Storm Warning Issued
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Cary, predicting heavy snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches. Residents are advised to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel during the storm.
Community Event: Kay Yow Cancer Fund’s Run/Walk
Despite the weather, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund’s Run/Walk for Women’s Cancer Awareness is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 9:30 AM at WakeMed Soccer Park. Participants can enjoy a short celebration program and family-friendly activities.
