Temporary Bridge Installation on Middle Fork Drive
The West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) is set to install a temporary bridge on Middle Fork Drive in Charleston, starting Friday, January 30, 2026. The bridge, located at approximately milepost 14.5, was closed on January 27 following a routine inspection. The temporary bridge, costing $104,000, is expected to be operational by Tuesday, February 3, 2026, to alleviate traffic disruptions caused by the closure.
2026 West Virginia Vacation Guide Unveiled
Governor Patrick Morrisey has unveiled the state’s official travel magazine, the 2026 West Virginia Vacation Guide. The guide highlights the state’s rich history, outdoor recreation, and local businesses, aiming to attract visitors and boost tourism. The publication is available for distribution and online access.
