Crockett ISD updates 2026-27 schedules after regional safety exercise

Crockett ISD has updated daily school times for the 2026-27 academic year and completed a regional school-safety and security training exercise at Crockett High School on July 8-9, 2026.

The exercise involved multiple local, regional and state law-enforcement agencies, as well as emergency responders. The district said there was no active threat to Crockett High School or the surrounding community. The training was designed to strengthen emergency preparedness, improve coordination among participating agencies and reinforce school-safety practices before students return for the new school year.

Families should review the district’s updated schedule notice when planning arrival, dismissal and other weekday routines for 2026-27. The next dated opportunity for families to prepare for the school year is Aug. 6, when Crockett ISD will hold Meet the Teacher campus visits from 4 to 6 p.m. The Back to School Extravaganza is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. that day. The campus visits will give families time to visit schools and meet teachers, while the community event will provide another back-to-school preparation opportunity.
