Washington DC drivers who use Nebraska Avenue NW should plan for delays this summer: the District Department of Transportation says DC PLUG undergrounding work will close two westbound lanes on Nebraska Avenue NW, from Nevada Avenue NW to Connecticut Avenue NW, starting July 7, 2026 through August 7, 2026.
DDOT describes the work as a twenty-four-hour, two-lane closure tied to DC PLUG feeder 467. In the same corridor, officials say the eastbound roadway will be split and reconfigured to carry two-way traffic, with one lane provided in each direction.
