Deerfield Beach Gas Near $4 as Metro Diesel Tops $5.40
Regular gasoline was listed at nearly $4 per gallon at a Deerfield Beach station, while diesel remained above $5.40 across the Fort Lauderdale metro area in AAAโs August 4, 2026 price check.
The 7-Eleven at 900 SW 10th St. in Deerfield Beach listed regular gasoline at $3.999 per gallon. That is a single-station price, not a citywide Deerfield Beach average. AAA reported a Fort Lauderdale metro average of $3.955 for regular gas and $5.407 for diesel.
Regular gas is moving in different directions
AAAโs regular-gas average rose 4.6 cents from the prior day but was 3.8 cents lower than a week earlier. The metro average was still 13 cents higher than a month earlier and $1.003 above the year-ago level.
That combination gives drivers a mixed picture. The week-to-week decline may offer some short-term relief, but the monthly and annual comparisons show that pump prices remain considerably higher than they were earlier in the year and at the same point last year.
Diesel remains above $5.40
Diesel followed a different pattern. AAAโs Fort Lauderdale metro average increased by 0.5 cents from the previous day and fell 4.1 cents over the week. But it was up 81.6 cents from a month earlier and $1.884 higher than a year earlier.
The local 7-Eleven listing did not provide a diesel price, so the $5.407 figure should be read as a metro average rather than a verified pump price at that Deerfield Beach station.
Why the split matters locally
For commuters and households, regular gasoline near $4 at a local station can make routine driving, school trips and weekend travel more expensive, particularly for residents filling larger vehicles or making frequent long-distance commutes.
Diesel affects a different set of local costs. Contractors, landscapers, delivery companies, freight operators and other vehicle-intensive businesses often rely on diesel-powered trucks and equipment. Higher fuel expenses can become part of operating costs, although the available price data does not establish how any particular Deerfield Beach business is responding.
Restaurants and service businesses may also watch diesel prices because deliveries, supply runs and maintenance vehicles can add to transportation expenses. Those effects vary by company and are not necessarily passed directly to customers.
Compare the station price with the broader average
The Deerfield Beach listing was 4.4 cents above AAAโs Fort Lauderdale metro regular-gas average on August 4. That difference does not mean the station was unusually expensive or that every Deerfield Beach location was below $3.999; station prices can vary by location, brand, timing and payment method.
Drivers checking prices should compare multiple stations before filling up, especially when a single listing is being compared with a metro-wide average. Share the highest and lowest pump prices you are seeing in Deerfield Beach.
