Diamond Bar commuters face ongoing Foothill Transit stop closures
Passengers using Foothill Transit Lines 286 and 482 in Diamond Bar should check their stop before traveling. The agency lists construction-related closures along the Diamond Bar Boulevard corridor, and the main Line 286 and Line 482 notices say those closures remain in effect until further notice.
The affected stops are near the Diamond Bar Boulevard Complete Streets project. The City of Diamond Bar says the project includes bus-stop reconstruction, sidewalk and curb work, ADA ramp installations and traffic-signal upgrades.
Line 286 southbound stop is closed
Foothill Transitโs Line 286 notice lists the southbound stop at Diamond Bar Boulevard and Golden Springs Drive, stop 1143, as closed for construction. Riders traveling south toward Brea are directed to use a stop on Diamond Bar Boulevard south of Golden Springs Drive.
The notice describes a stop closure, not a permanent cancellation of Line 286. Riders should verify the alternate location before leaving.
Line 482 has multiple Diamond Bar closures
Foothill Transit lists Line 482 closures at Diamond Bar Boulevard and Town Center, stops 1146 and 1152, and at westbound Diamond Bar Boulevard and Golden Springs Drive, stop 1143. The agency directs riders to use the eastbound Diamond Bar Boulevard and Golden Springs Drive stop, 1142, and a stop on Golden Springs Drive west of Diamond Bar Boulevard for the listed alternatives.
The Line 482 Diamond Bar Boulevard notice says those closures continue until further notice.
Foothill Transit also posted a separate July 23 notice for the Line 482 stop at Golden Springs Drive and Lemon Avenue, stop 1573, for eastbound service to Pomona. That notice applied from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, and directed riders to Golden Springs Drive and Rapidview Drive, stop 1579. It is separate from the continuing Diamond Bar Boulevard closures.
Closures coincide with street improvements
The City of Diamond Barโs May 2026 newsletter said crews were working on an approximately quarter-mile section of Diamond Bar Boulevard between Golden Springs Drive and Palomino Drive. The project includes widened sidewalks, curb work, ADA-accessible ramps, high-visibility crosswalks, a separated bike lane and traffic-signal improvements, along with reconstruction of bus stops.
The city reported that the $10.6 million project is funded through state, regional and local transportation grants, with no impact to the General Fund. Construction began in late February, and the city published an expectation of approximately 12 months for completion. That is the cityโs project estimate, not a confirmed reopening date for the transit stops.
Check alerts before leaving
Foothill Transitโs rider-alert system is the best place to verify whether a stop remains closed and which alternate location applies to a specific trip. Because the continuing Diamond Bar notices do not provide a firm reopening date, passengers using Lines 286 or 482 near Golden Springs Drive or Town Center should check the agencyโs alerts before traveling.
