Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) says it will do nighttime work on I-10 Westbound over the Mississippi River Bridge (Horace Wilkinson Bridge) with a right-hand single-lane closure each night.

DOTD’s notice says the closures run Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

DOTD says the nighttime lane work is necessary to repair damaged concrete curb/railing and roadway patches in the bridge area.

During the overnight window, crews will shift traffic for a right-hand single-lane closure as drivers cross the Horace Wilkinson Bridge. Plan for slower speeds and check live updates before heading out late at night.

St. Louis St. On Ramp: full closure for staging

In addition to the lane closure on I-10, DOTD says the St. Louis St. On Ramp will be fully closed so it can be used as a staging area for crews and equipment.
