Douglas County approves $7.5 million youth-sports investment
Douglas County commissioners approved $7.5 million on Aug. 4, 2026, for a new youth-sports facility in Castle Rock, adding a major county-backed project to a broader regional buildout that includes Parker.

A regional sports buildout

The Gold Crown Field House is the clearest confirmed piece of the plan following the commissioners’ vote.
