Driver dies after crash on Sundew Way in San Jacinto

A driver died after a single-vehicle collision on Sundew Way in San Jacinto on Oct. 5, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said. Deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to a reported collision at 11:12 a.m. in the 1100 block of Sundew Way and provided medical aid.

Medical personnel transported the driver to a local hospital in critical condition, where the driver died, the department said. The San Jacinto Station Traffic Reconstruction Team took over the investigation. The department said the cause remains under investigation and is withholding the driver’s identity pending notification of next of kin.

Sundew Way between Lilac Road and Bramble Way was temporarily closed during the investigation and has since reopened, the department said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Cox at the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station.
