Eid Celebration, Monster Trucks and Aggie Square Events Lead Sacramento Weekend
Sacramento, CA – March 21, 2026 – From a major Eid festival at Cal Expo to monster trucks and live music, Sacramento’s weekend is packed with big events.
Sacramento is heading into the weekend with a full slate of high-energy events and community gatherings across the city.
Eid Festival Draws Crowds to Cal Expo
Thousands gathered Friday at Cal Expo for one of the region’s largest Eid al-Fitr celebrations. The day began with early morning prayers and continued with an indoor bazaar, family activities and a wide selection of halal food vendors.
Organizers billed the event as a full-day community celebration, complete with games, children’s entertainment and shopping booths featuring local businesses. For many families, it marked both a spiritual observance and a festive kickoff to the weekend.
Monster Trucks Take Over Fairgrounds
Also at Cal Expo, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live roared into Sacramento for a three-day run from March 20 through March 22. The outdoor shows at the grandstands feature oversized trucks, freestyle stunts and kid-focused entertainment.
Promoters say this is the first time the touring production has brought its outdoor format to Sacramento. Discounted children’s tickets and VIP experiences helped draw families looking for a high-energy night out.
Aggie Square Hosts Music and Community Events
Over at Aggie Square, the growing innovation district near UC Davis Health hosted its ‘Beats & Bites’ event on March 19, blending live Latin dance music with food and community networking.
The development continues to expand its public programming, with fitness classes, nonprofit workshops and live music events scheduled throughout the month. City leaders have highlighted Aggie Square as a key piece of Sacramento’s broader redevelopment and economic growth strategy.
With faith celebrations, family entertainment and neighborhood gatherings all happening at once, Sacramento’s mid-March calendar is showing signs of a busy spring season ahead.
