New $30 Million Development Near Fishers Event Center
Fishers city leaders and developers have broken ground on a $30 million project adjacent to the Fishers Event Center. The development will feature two independent, two-story buildings with outdoor dining on both levels. One of the buildings will house an upscale steakhouse from Jeremiah Hamman, owner of Prime 47 in Carmel. Mayor Scott Fadness emphasized the project’s significance, stating it will become the “epicenter on the northeast side of Indianapolis for entertainment and culinary opportunities.”
Student Charged with Firearm Possession at Fishers High School
A 17-year-old student has been charged with possession of a firearm on school property after a gun was found in his vehicle at Fishers High School. The Fishers Police Department received an anonymous tip through the HSE Report It! app, leading to the discovery. Authorities do not believe the student intended to use the weapon to cause harm at the school. The Fishers Police Department expressed gratitude for the partnership with HSE Schools in ensuring community safety.
