Regular gasoline and diesel are moving in different directions around Gallatin in the latest July 31 price check. The 7-Eleven at 200 Maharris Drive lists regular gasoline at $3.469 per gallon and diesel at $4.449.
Those figures are a station-level snapshot, not a citywide Gallatin average. Prices can vary between pumps, retailers and neighborhoods, so drivers should compare several nearby stations before filling up.
Regular gas is below the metro comparison
AAA’s July 31 price data shows a Nashville metro average of $3.723 per gallon for regular gasoline, a regional comparison that serves the Gallatin area but does not represent the exact price at every Gallatin station. The listed Maharris Drive station is 25.4 cents below that metro average.
AAA also reported that the Nashville metro regular-gas average was down 1.7 cents from the prior week. That points to modest relief for commuters and households buying gasoline, although the amount paid locally will depend on the station selected and when its price was last updated.
Diesel remains higher and moved the other way
The same Gallatin station lists diesel at $4.449 per gallon. AAA’s Nashville metro diesel average on July 31 was $5.008, putting the station snapshot 55.9 cents below the regional average.
Unlike regular gasoline, diesel increased over the previous week. AAA reported an 8.6-cent rise in the Nashville metro diesel average. The separate trends matter for businesses and workers who rely on diesel-powered vehicles or equipment, including contractors, delivery operators, farmers, restaurants, service companies and other firms using trucks.
National context
The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported national weekly averages of $4.096 for regular gasoline and $5.313 for on-highway diesel for the week of July 27. Those figures provide broad context, but they should not be treated as Gallatin prices.
For local drivers, the practical takeaway is to watch regular gasoline and diesel separately. A small decline in gasoline may help households planning daily commutes or weekend travel, while higher diesel costs can add pressure to commercial transportation, farm operations, equipment use and delivery expenses.
