Garden Grove Police Facility Set for Fall 2026 Completion

Garden Grove’s Civic Center Revitalization project is scheduled to complete its first phase in fall 2026, according to the city’s fiscal 2025-27 budget material. That phase includes a new public-safety facility for the Garden Grove Police Department and a four-level parking structure.

The police facility is planned as a three-story building of approximately 103,000 square feet, according to contractor Clark Construction. The project is intended to replace the city’s existing police facility while reshaping parking and public space at the Civic Center.

The city’s budget material identifies the facility and parking structure as phase one, but sets the completion target only as fall 2026 rather than a specific date. The published plans do not establish a more precise opening day for the facility.

Park redevelopment follows

Phase two covers the redesign of Civic Center Park, a 2.7-acre public space. Clark Construction lists that work for 2027, after the planned completion of the public-safety facility and parking structure.

The park work is the next identified stage of the broader Civic Center project. The public plans describe the timing for the first phase and the later park redevelopment, but do not indicate that either phase has been completed.
