Drivers in and around Eldora should check Hardin County’s road and bridge closure page before heading out. The county’s live list currently shows three closed bridges and a closed stretch of County Highway D65, and the county says alternate routes will be shown if they have been determined.
What is closed
The county page lists the 295th Street Bridge between M Avenue and 290th Street in Providence Township, the 335th Street Bridge between T Avenue and U Avenue in Union Township, and the T Avenue Bridge between County Highway D65 and 325th Street in Union Township. It also lists County Highway D65 between Zublin Avenue and U.S. Highway 65 as closed or embargoed.
That matters for anyone trying to move farm equipment, make deliveries, reach appointments, or get across the county on a familiar rural route. Hardin County says its Secondary Roads Department oversees road and bridge construction and maintenance, and the engineer’s office is located in Eldora.
