Hialeah schedules Aug. 11 council meeting amid fiscal 2027 budget process
Hialeah has scheduled its next City Council meeting for Tuesday, Aug. 11, as the city’s fiscal 2027 budget process moves toward its next public step. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 501 Palm Avenue.
The city’s 2026 council calendar also lists a regular meeting for Aug. 25. Hialeah canceled its July 2026 council meetings, making the Aug. 11 session the next listed council proceeding after the city published a notice for the first fiscal 2027 budget hearing and began the formal budget process.
What is known about the budget
The Aug. 11 meeting notice does not specify which fiscal 2027 budget ordinances or resolutions, if any, will receive final action. Hialeah has not yet published a final fiscal 2027 budget amount, millage or tax rate, departmental appropriations, or council vote totals in the records available through Aug. 9.
Planning and zoning board minutes also identify Aug. 11 as a date for City Council consideration of planning and zoning recommendations. The meeting is therefore a scheduled decision point for city business, but it should not be treated as proof that the fiscal 2027 budget has been adopted. The next listed council session after Aug. 11 is Aug. 25.
