RIDOT plans to shift all northbound I-95 lanes slightly to the right near Jefferson Boulevardโs Exit 31C on Wednesday night, Oct. 14. The location is on the Warwick-Cranston line over the Pawtuxet River. The agency has not specified an exact start time.
The traffic pattern is expected to remain in place for about two months while bridge demolition and reconstruction continue as part of the I-95 15 Bridges project. RIDOT anticipates no corresponding change on southbound I-95.
RIDOT says the broader project addresses 15 bridges. Nine are structurally deficient, and three are among Rhode Islandโs five most-traveled structurally deficient bridges.
Construction schedules and scope may change because of weather or other circumstances, RIDOT says.
