INDOT record places signal project outside Plymouth
The Indiana Department of Transportation’s July 8, 2026 regular highway-construction letting record identifies project T-44690-A, federal/state project 2201149, as traffic-signal modernization at the I-265 ramp at Paoli Pike/State Street and Grant Line Road. The listed work locations are in the Louisville area, not Plymouth, Indiana.
That clarification matters because Michiana Contracting Inc., which lists a Plymouth address, appeared on INDOT’s July 1 planholder list for the letting. A planholder listing shows interest in project documents; it does not establish that the company submitted the winning bid, received the contract or will perform work in Plymouth.
What remains unconfirmed
INDOT’s letting record does not identify a final awardee or an award amount. It also does not identify Plymouth as a construction location. As a result, the record does not support describing T-44690-A as a Plymouth infrastructure project or claiming that the city will receive new traffic signals.
The next relevant public development would be a final contract-award record identifying the successful bidder and amount. Until then, the project’s documented connection to Plymouth is limited to the appearance of Michiana Contracting Inc. on the planholder list, and any local economic benefit remains unconfirmed.
