Lake Oswego’s Foothills district plan reaches August council and planning milestones
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. — Lake Oswego’s update of the Foothills District Plan is moving into two scheduled public decision points after the city released preliminary development concepts for discussion and stakeholder input.
The City Council is scheduled to hold a study session on Aug. 4, 2026. The Planning Commission has a work session scheduled for Aug. 10, 2026. The city’s update also directs residents and other stakeholders to an online story map and public-input process.
What the meetings could shape
The Foothills planning process could guide later decisions about development, transportation, infrastructure and land use in the district. It may also affect how residents, property owners, commuters, renters, homeowners and local businesses evaluate future redevelopment concepts for the area.
