Little Elm schedules Aug. 18 hearing on proposed 11.693-acre annexation
Little Elm has scheduled a Town Council public hearing for Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, on a proposal to annex approximately 11.693 acres in the town’s extraterritorial jurisdiction in Denton County.
The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. at Little Elm Town Hall, 100 W. Eldorado Parkway. It gives residents an opportunity to provide public input before the Town Council takes any annexation action.
What the notice identifies
The property is identified as being in the Marsella Jones Survey, Abstract No. 662. The tract is within Little Elm’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, or ETJ, in Denton County.
The town’s July 27 public notice describes the annexation as proposed. It does not establish that the property has already been annexed or that a final annexation ordinance has been approved.

The public hearing will take place at Town Hall, 100 W. Eldorado Parkway, Little Elm, Texas, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Separate development proposal tied to the tract
A separate public notice published July 7 connected the same 11.693-acre tract with a proposed four-story, 324-unit senior apartment development. That proposal was scheduled for consideration by the Planning and Zoning Commission at a separate public hearing on July 16.
The apartment proposal is separate from the Aug. 18 Town Council annexation hearing. The available notices do not establish that the development has been approved, built or guaranteed.
As of Aug. 2, the next scheduled public step identified in the town’s annexation notice is the Aug. 18 Town Council hearing. Residents can use the meeting to provide input before any final annexation action is taken.
