Littlestown sets August council and planning meetings amid Good Ole Days week
LITTLESTOWN, Pa. — Littlestown Borough has set its next two municipal decision points for August, including a date change for the Planning Commission during the borough’s Good Ole Days period.
Borough Council’s regular August meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. The Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 20. Both meetings are scheduled at 43 South Columbus Avenue in Littlestown.
The Planning Commission is scheduled for the third Thursday in August rather than its usual second Thursday because of the Good Ole Days event, according to the borough’s 2026 meetings notice. The notice also says deliberations and official actions may occur during regular sessions.
What residents need to know
The schedule gives residents, property owners and others following borough business a confirmed opportunity to attend the next council and planning sessions. However, the specific agenda items for either meeting were not available in the approved public notice materials, so it is not yet known whether a particular zoning, land-use or development matter will be discussed or acted on August 20.
That distinction matters for anyone tracking a property or development issue: the meeting dates are official, but no specific application or decision can be attributed to the Planning Commission’s August session from the information currently available.
The borough’s public calendar places the meetings within a larger run of community activities. Carnival Week is listed as beginning August 3. The Good Ole Days Parade is listed for August 13, followed by Movie Night on August 14 and a vendor event on August 15. The calendar identifies these as Littlestown activities; it does not establish that every listed event is borough-run.
Meeting dates amid August events
The August 11 council session comes before the parade and the other listed Good Ole Days activities. The August 20 Planning Commission meeting follows them and reflects the scheduling adjustment made for the event period.
Residents who want to follow municipal business should use the meeting location and times in the official notice when planning to attend. The notice establishes that official action may take place during the regular sessions, while the absence of published agendas means the precise business before council and the commission remains to be determined.
