North Las Vegas Sets Aug. 19 Council Date for Development Applications
North Las Vegas has scheduled a City Council development meeting for Aug. 19, 2026, creating the next decision point for land-development applications moving through the cityโs review process.
The applications are scheduled to go before the North Las Vegas Planning Commission on Aug. 5. The cityโs development calendar separates that commission review from the subsequent City Council action, indicating that the Aug. 19 meeting follows the earlier stage of review.
The city calendar does not identify the Aug. 19 applications, their requested zoning or development approvals, project sizes, developers or potential unit counts. It also does not provide council decisions or vote totals, so the meeting is a scheduled action rather than a reported approval.
The timing comes as North Las Vegas continues to process land-use changes that can affect housing, infrastructure demand and development patterns. A recent city land-use decision involved rezoning approximately 16.26 acres to a planned-unit-development district. That July action is separate from the applications scheduled for August. The next known step is Planning Commission consideration on Aug. 5, followed by City Council action on Aug. 19.
