Fatal Road Rage Incident in Tacoma
On Friday night, a 21-year-old man was fatally shot following a road rage incident near Military Road East and 11th Avenue East. Deputies found the victim’s SUV crashed into a tree, and despite efforts from bystanders and fire crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations are ongoing, and no suspects have been arrested.
Local Man Sentenced for Drug Trafficking
Rogelio Pena, a Tacoma resident, was sentenced to five years in prison for attempting to traffic 28 pounds of methamphetamine. Pena was part of a group that used rental cars and buses to transport large quantities of drugs to the Seattle area. The group was apprehended after an 18-month wiretap investigation.
Tacoma Home & Garden Show Continues at the Dome
The 43rd annual Tacoma Home & Garden Show is ongoing at the Tacoma Dome, running from January 29 to February 1. The event features model homes, garden displays, a plant market, and expert speakers.
