Coffee Connections on deck at City Hall

The city is getting ready to welcome residents and local business owners for Coffee Connections on Tuesday, February 10, at Council Chambers. The morning meet up is part networking event and part informal check in with city staff and partners.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring business cards, ideas, and questions about what they would like to see in Mill Creek this year. Light refreshments are planned, and no formal council action will be taken during the gathering.

City Chat returning this spring

Looking a little further ahead, City Chat is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, at Frost Donuts. The casual drop in format is meant to give residents time to talk directly with city leaders about projects, growth, and neighborhood concerns in a relaxed setting.

These small format conversations have become one of the city’s main outreach tools, complementing more formal public hearings and open houses.

Adopt a street, keep the city clean

Mill Creek is also highlighting its Adopt a Street program, which pairs volunteer groups with short segments of local streets for regular litter pickup. Civic clubs, schools, faith communities, and businesses can all apply to sponsor a route.

Volunteer crews are asked to clean their assigned stretch at least once a month using safety gear and tools supplied by the city. Youth groups can participate with adult supervision, giving students a hands on way to support their community.

With spring around the corner, city staff say this is an ideal time for new groups to sign up and help keep gateways, trails, and commercial areas looking their best.
