Senior Bowl Parade and Concert Kick Off Weekend Festivities
Mobile is set to host the Panini Senior Bowl on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Hancock Whitney Stadium. The event will feature top NFL draft prospects competing in an all-star game. To celebrate, a Player Parade will take place today, Friday, January 30, at 5:30 p.m. along Dauphin Street, followed by a free concert at Mardi Gras Park featuring Muscadine Bloodline at 7:30 p.m.
Mobile Museum of Art Opens New Exhibitions
Today, the Mobile Museum of Art unveils three new special exhibitions: “Louise Nevelson: Dawn to Dusk,” “Timeless Hats by Susie Mae Pugh-Williams: A Legacy of Creativity, Elegance, Reverence & Resilience,” and “Pictures of Resistance: The Wartime Photographs of Jewish Partisan Faye Schulman.” These exhibitions offer diverse perspectives, from 1930s Europe to contemporary Mobile, showcasing works from major museum collections and local archives.
City Prepares for Extreme Cold Warning
The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning for Mobile, effective from midnight Friday night to noon CST Sunday. Residents are advised to dress in layers, including hats, face masks, and gloves, if they must go outside. To prevent water pipes from freezing, it’s recommended to wrap or allow them to drip slowly. Pet owners should keep animals indoors as much as possible. Additionally, make frequent checks on older family members, friends, and neighbors, and ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Generators and grills should not be used indoors.

Mobile Police have arrested 33-year-old Michael Curtis Glenn in connection with a shooting that occurred on Christmas Day in 2025.
