Muskego voters rejected a $5.9 million annual public safety levy increase Tuesday. WISN/Hearstโs unofficial returns showed 9,023 no votes, or 64.42%, against 4,984 yes votes, with all 10 precincts reporting.
The proposal would have raised the cityโs ongoing levy limit to support police, fire, EMS, rescue and public works services. Its defeat denies that additional taxing authority.
