On January 30, 2026, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Oceanside police responded to a traffic collision at Douglas Drive and Pala Road. A 13-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. She was airlifted to a hospital with major injuries and is currently reported to be in stable condition.
