Pharr breaks ground on 83,567-square-foot civic facility
Pharr has broken ground on an 83,567-square-foot multi-use facility at the corner of U.S. Highway 281 and Ferguson Avenue, beginning a major city-led construction project intended to bring municipal services, emergency coordination and community programming under one roof.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place June 10, 2026. The facility is being built on 14.6 acres, and the city says construction began in May. Completion is anticipated during the first quarter of 2028.
A facility for city services and emergency operations
