Plainfield planning commission reviews proposed 132-unit Airtech Apartments
Plainfield’s planning commission is reviewing Airtech Apartments, a proposed 132-unit workforce-housing multifamily development on Airtech Parkway, south of Plainfield Fire Station 123.
The project appears on the Town of Plainfield’s plan-commission project list dated Aug. 3, 2026. The listed location is approximately 370 Airtech Parkway. The request is for development-plan approval, meaning the proposal remains in the town’s local review process rather than representing completed construction.
The Aug. 3 listing does not show that the project has received final approval. Plainfield’s public-notice process states that development petitions and plans are filed with the town’s Development Services Group and are subject to public comment. The Plainfield Civic Center, 206 West Main Street, is identified as a hearing location, but the project listing does not provide a separate hearing date or construction schedule.
If approved, Airtech Apartments would add 132 multifamily workforce-housing units in Plainfield, with potential effects on nearby traffic, utilities, emergency-service demand and housing availability. The same docket also lists the Artisan rezoning request at 6057 South County Road 600 East and plan and subdivision requests for Village at Plank Road. The next known step for Airtech Apartments is continued consideration through the development-plan and public-hearing process.
