The case centers on suspected fentanyl found during the stop, and the man is due in court in the coming weeks.

In a separate case, a 44-year-old Minneapolis man has been charged with felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon after an altercation at Mystic Lake Casino on Thursday, February 5. According to charging documents summarized by the same outlet, security staff told deputies the man advanced on them with a hammer before officers intervened. No life-threatening injuries were reported, but the charge carries the potential for significant prison time if he is convicted.

Sports: Lakers stay hot on the ice

Prior Lake High School boys hockey picked up a confidence-building win Thursday at Dakotah! Ice Center, skating past Holy Family 4–2. A prep sports outlet reports that forward Lukas Grabow scored twice, with additional goals from teammates to build a lead that held through the third period.

The city and its consulting engineer plan a neighborhood open house and a March 10 council hearing before finalizing assessment amounts for affected properties.
