Queen Anne’s County opens Kent Island cooling site for July 15 heat day (Stevensville residents included)

For the Wednesday, July 15, 2026 Heat Advisory day, Queen Anne’s County opened public cooling centers so community members could find a “cool retreat.” The county tied the openings to a heat index expected to reach or exceed 105°F.
