Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Holly Township
On Sunday evening, a tragic accident occurred in Holly Township, involving a 29-year-old woman and her 1-year-old child. The woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck while placing another child into a vehicle. The child sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The 72-year-old driver of the pickup truck was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
High-Speed Chase Leads to Arrest in Warren
On Thursday, a high-speed chase ensued on I-94 and I-696, culminating in the arrest of 22-year-old Keshawn Peeples in Warren. Peeples was wanted for multiple felony charges, including shooting into an occupied dwelling. The pursuit involved Michigan State Police, Detroit Police, and Warren Police. A firearm was recovered from the vehicle during the arrest. Peeples faces several charges, including shooting into an occupied dwelling and felony firearm offenses.

However, upon arrival, responders were unable to locate the vehicles or confirm the crash. Additionally, a pedestrian collision with injuries was reported near East 10 Mile Road on February 2. A 22-year-old man was struck by a tow truck and transported to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital for further evaluation.
