Ridgeland seeks bids for broad public-works and utility contracts
The City of Ridgeland is seeking contractors and suppliers for a broad range of public-works services and construction-related supplies, including water and sewer work, drainage, asphalt, traffic systems and water-treatment materials.
The city issued its advertisement for sealed bids on July 23, 2026. Bids are due by 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026.
Contractors may submit bids at the Public Works Conference Room at Ridgeland City Hall, 100 West School Street, Ridgeland, Mississippi 39157. Electronic submissions are also available through Central Bidding.
Water, sewer and drainage work
The solicitation covers equipment and services for water and sewer distribution, sewer rehabilitation and water-operations maintenance. It also includes water-treatment chemicals and components used in the city’s water system.
Those categories address the infrastructure that carries drinking water and wastewater through the city. The bid list also includes drainage pipe and drainage structures, along with asphalt and concrete. Other listed work includes easement clearing and landscape installation.
The city’s request combines supplies and services that can support routine maintenance, rehabilitation and future construction-related work. The advertisement, however, is a request for bids rather than an announcement that a specific project has begun.
Traffic and street infrastructure
Ridgeland is also seeking bids for traffic signs, street-light maintenance, traffic-signal maintenance, pavement markings and work-zone equipment.
Those items cover several parts of the city’s transportation network, from signs and lane markings to signals, lighting and equipment used around active work areas. Roads, drainage, water and sewer systems, and traffic controls are used by residents, businesses and people traveling through Ridgeland.
The solicitation does not identify awarded contractors, particular project locations or final contract amounts. It also does not establish which listed services or supplies would be ordered first.
The immediate next step for interested contractors and suppliers is the Aug. 18 bid deadline. Bids can be delivered to the Public Works Conference Room at City Hall or submitted electronically through Central Bidding. The advertisement does not set an award date or a start date for work under any resulting contract.
