Sacramento police investigated a fatal shooting Friday night along West El Camino Avenue near Truxel Road. Officers found an adult man with at least one gunshot wound; he was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead. As of the latest update, authorities had not released suspect information.

Hit-and-run crash in Midtown sends six to the hospital

Early Sunday morning, a collision near 20th Street and P Street injured six people, according to fire officials. Police said the crash involved a van and a sedan, and that the sedan’s driver ran off before officers arrived. Two people were reported in critical condition at the scene, while the remaining patients were described as stable as the investigation continued.
